Registration
Riders can pick up their packets and swag bags the day before the race at REI’s Redmond location.
On the day of Stinky Spoke, show up between 8-9 a.m. to pick up your packet and swag bag with tons of free goodies from our sponsors including a commemorative Stinky Spoke beanie and pint glass (your bib will become your drink ticket after your ride). Riders may register the day-of but should show up a bit early.
Start Time
Riders can start the course between 9 and 10 a.m., but the course will be closed to starts at 10 a.m. sharp. All riders should be off the course by 1 p.m.
Parking
Ample parking will be available around Redhook Brewery. Carpoolers can get prime parking up front courtesy of Carter Subaru.
Come Prepared
The weather could be very nasty (as we saw in 2012 with several inches of snow), so dress for anything. You may want to bring snow goggles, extra gloves, etc. in case you encounter snow or sleet on the trail. Also, bring a warm set of clothes to change into after the ride. Changing rooms will be provided.
Service Stops
The course can be hairy so while you are picking up your playing cards along the way, service stops will also be set up with hot and cold beverages, bike mechanics and first aid. There will be several porta-potties along the course.
Poker Ride Rules
At several checkpoints along the course, you will receive a playing card until you have five cards at the finish. The rider with the best hand wins big prizes. If you trade cards with other riders to stack your hand, you are ruining the fun!
After Party
Once the ride is done, it is time to party! Get into dry clothes in our changing rooms. Get warm in the heated tent and use your ride bib as a beer ticket. Back by popular demand for our after party entertainment The Side Project.
